Not restore, re-storage. Before you do anything you should locate your films, slides, or pictures and make sure they are being stored correctly. If you live in an apartment chances are good your stuff is OK. But if you have your own house or the “media” is being stored at someone else’s house it might be at risk. Attics’ and basements are not the best place to store anything. Attics are far too hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Basements can be very damp and humid. Films and photos should be stored at room temperature in sealed plastic bags if possible, and handled as little as possible. So if you don’t have time to start your project at least get your media in an environmentally safe spot.
